‘Sakina’ – Peace for one and all –
‘Sakina’ – Peace for one and all – We at Sakina Foundation strive for this very humane yearning. We are a not for profit and non-governmental trust registered in India. Contributing our worth to the not so fortunate population irrespective of caste, creed, race or community.
Sakina Foundation Trust started in the memory of Sakina the loving daughter of our founding chairman Mohammed Asif Hussain Sohail. She was the epitome of peace just like her name and made an eternal impact on the lives of people around her.
She was diagnosed with pneumonia, which later developed with multiple organ failure and she succumbed to the ailment at a very tender age of 3 years at a hospital in Chicago, IL, America. It is in her remembrance that our foundation has taken birth.
Late Mohammed Afzal Hussain father of Asif Hussain Sohail, It is because of his good upbringing, values and principles imbibed in him since childhood that Asif Sohail continues to carry on his legacy by awarding scholarships and empowerment programs in his memory.
This I sincerely hope would act as the contribution of me, my friends, and my family towards the
eternal peace for my dear ‘Sakina’.

We hope through the institution of this foundation there wouldn’t be another Sakina to suffer the indifference of this ailment or for that matter any other life-threatening ailments, and societal evils.
Sakina Foundation Trust does not accept any cash/ cheque or monetary donations. The volunteers are also from all walks of life, International and National who extend their services voluntarily.
Our objectives include universal brotherhood, regional equality, equal opportunity for all sections of the society, humane treatment of the downtrodden, and borderless exchange of best practices among similar organizations.
Our major areas of concern have been identified keeping in view their immediate need, intensity, reach, and constructive outcome we have designed Our registered campaigns around them.

Feed the Hungry: Langer for Hunger
Sakina Foundation Trust has immense compassion and feels the pain of what it means to sleep hungry. Mohammed Asif Hussain Sohail has been feeding 1000’s of underprivileged, needy and the poor for more than 10 years, 365 days with his expenses. When they started 10 years back they used to serve only a few 100. But as the number of needy grew they have employed cooks to help them as 1000’s of underprivileged and needy get their single meal from the sakina foundation. This is done out of love for feeding the hungry. For this Noble deed, they don’t accept any cash/cheque or any kind of donations.
During the recent severe lockdown, Mohammed Asif Hussain Sohail had supported and gifted free cooked food and ration kits to underprivileged, needy, poor and migrant workers who were stuck in their homes without jobs nearly 6000 packets of cooked food in every single meal were distributed in the breakfast, lunch and dinner all through the lockdown in all the remote areas. More than 6 to 7 lakhs of food packets and 17000 families were supported through ration kits just during this period.
Oxygen Saviour – Oxygen on Wheels ( Breathe Hyderabad)
Every day locally we are providing 5000 PLUS FREE CYLINDERS in the city till now more than 5000 people have benefited and Around 400 plus cases have been supported by Oxygen on wheels.
